Coach Donnie Lyle is a former Coldspring and Shepherd High School Softball Coach. He does pitching and hitting lessons and is a great asset to the Texas Slam team and works closely with our team members to make sure they’re performing to the best of their ability.

David Morris
Baseball & Softball Hitting & Fielding Coach, Baseball Pitching Coach
The Texas Slam Baseball & Softball is excited to have David Morris join our facility. David graduated from Lufkin High School. David played two years at Angelina College where he was a utility player and was a Designated Hitter. He has coached a Texas Slam team for the last 12 years. His oldest son Gage plays college baseball at Centenary College of Louisiana and his youngest son Jace will be playing football at Centenary also. This frees up time for him to give back his knowledge of baseball to our community.

Texas Slam Baseball & Softball is excited to have Josh as an instructor. He is a graduate of Livingston High School and played baseball at Central Christian College in McPherson, KS and Sterling College in Sterling, KS. He is excited to give back to his home community by helping young players become better hitters.

Grason Long
Softball Pitching, Hitting & Fielding Coach
Texas Slam welcomes Coach Grason played 2 years of college softball at Tyler Jr. College and just finished her career playing at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. She reached a goal of 100 strikeouts at the collegiate level. Grason was a 3rd team All American and holds the record for strike outs and no hitters thrown.
We are excited to have her helping out our youth.

Nate Campbell
Baseball Pitching Coach
The Texas Slam Baseball & Softball welcomes Nate Campbell. Nate graduated from Livingston High School. He has 4 years of college baseball experience. He recently trained with top pitching development minds at Tread Athletics and witnessed how they trained pitchers at the highest level. He offers experience developing personalized trained plans including throwing, lifting, and mobility for collegiate and high school baseball players. He offers lessons for all ages.

Gage Morris
Baseball Hitting & Fielding Coach
The Texas Slam Baseball & Softball welcomes Gage Morris. Gage graduated from Livingston High School where he was selected his sophomore year Honorable Mention Second Baseman and his Jr. and Senior Year as First Team All District Shortstop. Gage is a Texas Slam alumni playing from the age of 7 years old- 18 years old. He has just finished his first year of college baseball at Centenary College of Louisianna. He was a utility player this season playing third, shortstop, second base and outfield. His team won the SCAC Tournament Championship where he was named All Tournament Third Baseman. He loves helping the young athletes of our home town. Gage offers lessons for all ages.

Jacob Haynes

The Texas Slam Baseball & Softball welcomes Jacob Haynes
Jacob is a 2022 graduate of Livingston High School where he was a four year letter winner. Jacob was a two-time all-district selection and a four time academic all-district honoree. Jacob was a top reliever for the
University of Mary Hardin Baylor Crusaders during his sophomore year. In 2023 Jacob received academic All-ASC recognition. Jacob is the son of David and Lisa Haynes.
Jacob offers lessons for all ages.
